Simiya Drops By the Studio

Today Dutchtown resident and local artist Simiya Sudduth taught the Sew Aware crew how to make magazine wallets. Simiya is a co-founder of the Speckled Owl Collective, a DIY design/craft group and is known for building mobile gardens. She works with several arts organizations throughout St Louis including SCOSAG, the Craft Alliance and GYA (Yeyo Collective). In her spare time she nurtures her own organic garden, chickens, two loveable pit bulls and partner Zack.
